auto safety features to keep our teens safe

When choosing a car for a teenage driver, you have got to keep safety in mind. Sure, we would all love to go out and buy a $500 clunker for our teens to drive, but will that car keep our teens safe as they learn to master the many skills of driving? I created this blog to help other parents identify cars that will keep their teens as safe as possible while driving out on their own. I have studied and researched to find all of the safety features that will provide optimum safety for our teens during their early days of driving and beyond.

3 Things To Do To A Car Before You Leave The Dealership

Getting a new or used car from a dealership is an excellent idea. You not only have several cars to look at and choose from, but you also have knowledgeable car salesmen who are there to answer any and all questions that you may have. This can make finding the car that you need much easier and much less time consuming. Once you have found the car that you believe you want, it is important that you do a few things before you purchase it and take it home with you. This article will discuss three things to do to a car before you leave the dealership

Test Drive It

The most important part of choosing a car is whether you enjoy driving it. You don't generally purchase shoes without trying them on to see how they fit and feel when you walk in them, and you shouldn't purchase a car without test driving it and seeing if you like how it drives. Taking it out with a test drive will allow you to see not only if you like how the car functions, but also to see if you personally feel comfortable in the driver's seat. Many cars look and sound great, but when it comes down to it, you may not like that way that they drive.

Have It Inspected

If you have found the car that you love and you have had the opportunity to test drive it, then it is also important that you have the car inspected before you purchase it. This is especially important if the car is used because you don't want to have to deal with any unexpected problems. Many car dealerships will do an inspection for you right on the lot because they have certified mechanics that work for them. This can save you time and still allow you to make sure that your vehicle is safe and functioning properly.

Get It Cleaned

Whether the car you are purchasing is new or used, it is important that you have it cleaned before you take it off the lot. There have likely been others who have climbed inside your car and tested it out, leaving foot prints and debris. Also there is likely going to be dust in the car and marks on the windows. The car dealership employees can give a good cleaning to both the exterior and interior of your car, allowing you to drive a beautiful car off the lot.
