auto safety features to keep our teens safe

When choosing a car for a teenage driver, you have got to keep safety in mind. Sure, we would all love to go out and buy a $500 clunker for our teens to drive, but will that car keep our teens safe as they learn to master the many skills of driving? I created this blog to help other parents identify cars that will keep their teens as safe as possible while driving out on their own. I have studied and researched to find all of the safety features that will provide optimum safety for our teens during their early days of driving and beyond.

4 Motorcycle Add-Ons That Are Ideal For Photographers

Driving a motorcycle can naturally limit the number of items you can bring and travel with. If you love to take photos while going on motorcycle trips, then there are plenty of ways to help your bike accommodate cameras and additional gear. When shopping at Harley Davidson dealers or other bike shops, you can request specific add-ons for the bike that cater directly to your photography career. The following four accessories fit specifically with a number of motorcycles.

Luggage Racks

A motorcycle luggage rack is added to the back of the bike. A secure rack features straps that can help keep bags held down and secure. This is a great place to keep camera bags and extra gear like a small tripod. Not only can it securely store your gear, but the items can be quickly accessed when you're trying to retrieve the camera.

Saddle Bags

Another great storage option for your motorcycle is a saddle bag. These bags are mounted to the side of the motorcycle, just behind the location of where your legs are placed. Many motorcycles already come with mounts installed while the bags need to be purchased separately. If there are no mounts installed, a dealer can easily add them. Saddle bags often feature flip-up openings that allow you to reach in and pull out the camera or accessories like lenses.

Handlebar Mounts

If you use small cameras or your phone to take photos, then you can have a handlebar mount added to a motorcycle. These mounts are specifically made to attach phones or small cameras securely. This is a great way to take images while you're riding. For many of the mounts, you can take pictures in both directions. This allows you to capture images of the road as you ride or reverse the camera for a selfie image. When purchasing a mount, a bike dealer can help find one that will fit both your camera device and the bike that you're operating with.

Motorcycle Rain Covers

Weather hazards not only make it more dangerous to ride on the road, but they can cause damage to camera equipment that you own. Help protect your equipment during random rain showers by purchasing custom-fit rain covers with the motorcycle. Rain covers are made to fit around storage areas or cargo nets on various motorcycles. If you're expecting rain, it's easy to slip these covers over the area and ensure that your camera stays dry.

One or more of these features can be added to the bike when you first purchase it. This allows you to ride off with all the camera equipment and gear ready to go on your first adventures.
